Frequently asked questions
- 01We’re open Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, offering full-day care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- 02We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.
- 03Yes! We offer part-time care (minimum 3 days/week). Drop-in care may be available depending on space.
- 04Yes. Abida’s Home Childcare is fully licensed and undergoes regular inspections to meet state requirements.
- 05Yes, we accept DSHS subsidies and other childcare assistance programs.
- 06Absolutely. Children are supervised at all times, including during naps. We follow safe sleep practices for infants.
- 07We clean and disinfect daily, including toys, surfaces, bathrooms, and learning areas, using child-safe products.
- 08Yes—each child has their own labeled cubby for personal belongings.
- 09Blankets are welcome, especially for nap time. Toys should stay at home to prevent loss or damage. We do offer special show-and-tell days.
- 10Yes! We serve breakfast, AM snack, lunch, and PM snack—all freshly prepared, balanced, and nutritious.
- 11We ask parents about what works at home and do our best to use the same comforting methods.
- 12Children must stay home if they are ill and may return once they've been fever-free for 24 hours without medication.
